ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE
Huldah Media is curated by Abbey Sim to share creative content and explore ideas great and small. Throughout 2023, the anthologies 'From the Wild' and 'Shadow' will form part of a study into the use of online platforms as a means of sharing original fiction, illustrating through social media, and creating community.
Hi, I'm Abbey
I am a candidate for Honours in Communications at the University of Technology Sydney, as well as studying theology part-time. Living on Dharug Country in Sydney, Australia, I have long had a passion for the weird and the wonderful of stories, sport and zoo animals.

I desire to explore themes of hope, love and longing through storytelling. Currently, I write two anthologies, 'From the Wild' and 'Shadow', as well as working in administration and communications for Leichhardt Uniting Church and Common Grace.
WHAT DOES HULDAH MEAN?
The female prophet Huldah is cited in the Hebrew Bible as having been consulted by King Josiah to testify as to the sacred nature of Scriptures which had been found, believed to be part of the book of Deuteronomy (2 Kings 22).

To me, the name represents how women have been speaking truth to power throughout the ages.

This is not intended to be a space for bible-bashing or proof-texting, but a platform where hope, peace, joy and love are championed. Questions and explorations of faith, doubt, hope and longing are welcome and encouraged here.
